So we arrived at camp at 5pm and Jason, Jan, Ken, Brandon & Alan had put up most of the tents as we knew that the Scouts were going to be tired as they had been at school all day and it was forecast to be 28 degrees. There was only 2 patrol tents to put up so whilst the scouts got on with that Andrea & Jan got the BBQ lit and started cooking the sausage & burgers we were having for tea. At about 7pm the scouts were all settled down for their tea. After the washing up was done it was a few games & hot chocolate before bed...... the last ones to go sleep dragged it out till gone midnight zzzzz
Up bright and early kindly awoken by the girls tent at 6.30am ......Breakfast consisted of bacon, sausages, eggs, beans & bread & butter, all the scouts well. After the washing up was done we went Paddle boarding, well what a hoot...even our non swimming scouts had a go, it ended with scouts making it their mission to sink each other, i think that the activity was a resounding success, then on for a water fight Nick had got some water bombs for his birthday and wanted to share the love, they however only lasted about 5 minutes....Shower and lunch ham, cheese sandwiches with fruit, crisps and cake, then later a game of rounders 12-11 was the score with a few scoring more than 3 rounders.
Pasta bolognese for dinner and hot chocolate & bed
Sunday once breakfast was had and cleared away it was pack up camp and then Go Karting although in 30 degree heat it was a bit too much for a lot, so was cut short.
Parents collected their scouts at 2pm (some slightly smellier than others!)
