So this evening started with breaking flag and a quick game while Andrea, Emma, Ian got the food set up and Jason & Keith tended to the fire.Once the fire was well alight the scouts were all called to the hall to learn to make their pockets.
They started with approximately 1 metre of foil, which they folded in half, then in half again. they then rolled the sides in to make a pocket, in which they put their ingredients in, once they had done that they closed the pocket up and popped it in the fire.
So on the menu for them to choose from was potatoes, baked beans, hot-dog sausages, ham, chicken, peppers, onions, sweetcorn, cheese, tomatoes & gravy.
After approx 5/10 minutes in the fire their supper was cooked.
As you will see from the photos there were some great and some weird combinations.
We also challenged ourselves to cook 2 uncooked chickens in less than 20 minutes as you can see from the pictures they were cooked and tasted lovely.
We finished off the evening with sparklers
A very successful evening enjoyed by all
