So today we marked the 100th Year since the end of the 1st World War. Barton Scouts along with the Guides, Brownies, Cubs, Beavers , Rainbows and Friends and family from the village met at the War memorial to mark the 100th Anniversary. The morning started with the names being read of all the service people that lost their lives from Barton during both the wars, this was then followed a 2 minute silence and then the wreath bearers laid the wreaths, Harry represented Barton Scouts. Then the guides led the procession to St Nicholas's Church, where we had our service. It was great to see so many uniformed young people and villagers at the service of Remembrance this marking the important 100th Anniversary.
