Shhhh.......... Its Mothering Sunday in a few weeks

So to night at scout we broke flag as usual and went straight into our project...... making special lamps for all our Mums

We started with a plain glass bottle (wine / whiskey / vodka) and we added pva glueto the outside of the bottle and ripped up coloured bits off decoupage /tissue paper we also worked out that you can use napkins too.

once the whole bottle was finished they were left to dry Jason & Andrea had them sitting around the house drying out.

We managed to get bottle lights and some small packs of silica gel to put in the bottom. this would ensure that did they get condensation they would stay dry inside thus protecting the lights inside.

Once dried, the lights were added and voila we have lamp. all the scouts needed to do was bubble wrap the bottle and wrap them, write their gift tag and their card.

I must be honest there was some fabulous combinations of colours, we had spotty ones, leopard print ones, and zebra too, we has glittery ones and graduated colour ones just to name but a few.

We finished the evening with a game
